Telemental Health services are an effective way for individuals and couples to easily access mental health services. It is an idea option for those who travel, live in outlying areas of town, maybe homebound or for college students while away at school. These services have also been helpful when clients move location and would like to maintain the relationship with their therapist. We also use TeleMental Health to access group and class sessions.
For your security, The Woodlands Center for Families uses encrypted technology services for text messages, voicemails, faxes, phone calls, and video conferencing sessions. Your sessions are anonymous and none of your information is stored.
You will not need to download or create an account. Just use a browser on a computer or other device with a camera and microphone. Your therapist will do a brief test run using the devices that you will be using for video calls. To maintain privacy when “in session”, we ask that you be in a quiet and private area in which you can speak freely about your personal information.
